WASHINGTON -- On Monday, Congressman Lance Gooden (R-Texas) introduced legislation to prevent the Biden Administration from forcing elementary schools to teach radical gender identity and sex education to young students.

Rep. Gooden said, "Elementary school teachers should not be sexualizing or confusing our children by teaching them an un-scientific gender identity and sex education curriculum. Parents have a right to decide what their child learns at school, and Congress must stand up to the Biden Administration's radical agenda."

Terry Schilling, President, American Principles Project said, "Elementary schools should not be teaching sexual subjects to children, period. It is highly disturbing that this is happening in even one school, never mind being promoted across the country. States like Florida are right in acting to protect kids' innocence, and Washington bureaucrats should not be allowed to punish them for doing so. We are proud to support this legislation from Congressman Gooden, and we thank him for standing up in defense of American families."

"It is vital that Americans stand up to the radical sexualized agenda and systemic grooming efforts of the far left. Ensuring that American classrooms remain focused on actual learning, instead of being turned into incubation machines for radical activism, is a paramount priority for the vast majority of parents." - Citizens for Renewing America

Specifically, the Protecting Innocence in Education Act would prohibit the federal government from issuing fines, taking punitive action, or prohibiting funding if an elementary school does not implement federal recommendations, regulations, or guidance on sex education. The recently passed omnibus spending bill included language to develop a federal task force on sex education, and it is only a matter of time until the Biden Administration attempts to prosecute schools that do not fulfill their radical gender identity demands.
